We love, because He first loved us. -1 John 4:19

Ryan grew up going to church off and on and is grateful for the friends and family who sowed the seeds of a biblical foundation throughout his childhood. He had heard the gospel and believed in Jesus, but he had never fully surrendered his life in response to the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for us. In college, he met a campus evangelist who invited him to church and to sit down to study the Bible. Through these Bible studies, Ryan learned about repentance and made the decision to fully surrender his life to Jesus. He joined Resurrection Church, where he learned what it meant to walk out his life fully committed to the Lord.

Erin grew up going to church and is thankful for her family teaching her about the Lord from a young age. She knew and believed that Jesus died on the cross for her sins, but she wasn’t living her life in a way that was worthy of the sacrifice He had made. After starting school at CU Boulder, God began drawing her to Himself. She began doing Bible studies and learned that she could have a personal relationship with Jesus and truly know Him. She learned that there is nothing we can do to earn salvation; it is a gift freely given. Erin received that gift her freshman year of college when she fully surrendered her life to Jesus in response to Him giving His life for us. She joined Resurrection Church and is deeply grateful for how the church has helped her grow in her walk with the Lord.

Ryan and Erin have known each other since 2021, but they didn’t become friends until 2024, when the Lord began to draw them together. After seeking the Lord for confirmation that this was His will for their lives, Ryan and Erin began dating in April 2025. As their relationship grew deeper, they realized how much they had in common, how well they complemented one another’s strengths and weaknesses, and how the Lord had uniquely made them for each other. Ryan proposed on December 5, 2025, on Pearl Street.

Ryan and Erin are grateful for their church and the abundance of life found in the local body of Christ. They look forward to this next season and to seeing how the Lord will use them together as husband and wife.
